It’s very common to wonder if therapy is the right fit. The goal of therapy is to help you feel more in control of your life, build healthier patterns, and move toward the kind of life you want to live. We work together to help you clarify what you would like to change in your life and ways in which you can move toward that.
-
We will explore avenues of your life that you would like to bring to therapy. We may use Internal Family Systems to make contact with different emotions and roles within your system. We can work with EMDR to help reprocess trauma. Using techniques such as guided meditation and EMDR resourcing, we can work together to help regulate your body and nervous system. We will collaborate together to meat your therapeutic desires and goals.

Therapy is dependent on many factors, namely your unique experience and therapeutic goals. Recent research indicates 50% of clients feel a clinical shift in 15-20 sessions. We develop deep patterns of behavior over the course of our lives. It takes time to work together to untangle them and develop new and supportive ways of moving through the world.

Keeping our sessions and records confidential is a key component of making therapy work. You have the right to a safe and confidential space.
The 3 exceptions to confidentiality are as follows:
Mandated reporting - Child abuse/neglect, danger to self/others, elder and dependent adult abuse
Written permission to release information
If records are subpoenaed by law

I offer both in-person and online services.
My services in-person are offered in Walnut Creek, California.
Online therapy, or Telehealth, is conducted by phone or video. This can be a great option for those who cannot make it to in-office appointments.
During your 20-minute free consultation, we will discuss the appropriateness of Telehealth therapy. While supportive in addressing most issues, Telehealth is not appropriate for those in severe crisis or contemplating suicide.
