Therapy and Support for
Neurodivergent Individuals
I support neurodivergent symptoms, alleviate stress, and help change behaviors
“I have trouble staying organized.”
“I feel scattered and unfocused most of the time.”
“I go to sleep and wake up with anxiety.”
Do you find yourself relating to any of these thoughts? You are constantly struggling to feel organized. Even when it feels like you have it together, you still feel scattered and unfocused most of the time.
You feel irritated, stressed, and anxious.
You know you have tasks to complete, but you just can’t get the “umph” or the focus to complete them. On top of that, you might notice feelings of disconnection from others and yourself.
If so, you are not alone, many neurodivergent people struggle in the same way. Staying on and completing tasks can feel impossible.
Establishing and maintaining relationships is difficult. When overwhelmed, it can feel uncomfortable to regulate your mood and behaviors.
You might experience irritability and high levels of stress. Whether an adolescent or an adult, moving through life with these symptoms can feel hopeless.
It can feel lonely to experience the world so differently than everyone else and I am here to help you navigate this journey.
Peace When Your Brain Feels Chaotic
When we interact with the world differently than others, it can be difficult to know exactly what can help, and what might bring relief.
Imagine moving through the world engaged and grounded; interacting with tasks in an organized and present way.
Imagine having connected and stable relationships. Feeling relief from stress, irritation, and anxiety.
Improving your ability to control your impulses and feel more like yourself. Bringing better well-being overall.
Helping You Cope With Neurodivergent Symptoms
If you suspect you might be neurodivergent, asking for help when you can’t pinpoint what is happening can be difficult. As a therapist that works with ADHD/ADD, I believe that understanding trauma is crucial.
In childhood, we can develop behaviors of hypervigilance, difficulty with focus, and issues around mood regulation when we experience trauma and disconnection.
In therapy, we will explore the benefits of connecting with the world in a divergent way and learn how to gain self-acceptance.
I provide psychoeducation on ADHD/ADD in connection to your unique expression of symptoms. It can feel helpful to understand why symptoms are occurring prior to navigating how to lessen or heal these feelings.
Working with Internal Family Systems (IFS), we will befriend and unburden the parts of you that are related to the potential shame and guilt you might carry.
Using EMDR, we desensitize limiting beliefs and reprogram the mental injury related to traumatic memories.
We work on executive functioning skills to help support you in becoming organized, creating better habits and routines, and overcoming task initiation difficulties.
I interweave coping skills throughout therapy with guided meditation, chakra work, and somatic body relaxation.
I Understand Neurodivergence
I use my years of experience working in the education system to support your path to coping better with your neurodivergence. I understand the impact that neurodivergence can have on your everyday life.
I understand the symptoms you might be experiencing and truly believe looking at the world differently is a superpower.
Together we will find what works for you during your journey; there is no expectation to line up with society’s expectations.. We’ll learn how to disengage the symptoms and diagnosis from you and your identity.
